webxbeta.com

August 14, 2009

webXbeta.com is a web site that takes the Google top searches, and places them in a database.  At the same time, it provides an RSS feed to the Google top searches to be displayed right on the site with their own script.  This all links to my adsense account.  This was an awesome idea I had, so I expanded webXbeta to do more than just show Google’s results on the page.  I then proceded to include Yahoo, Twitter, Clickbank, Amazon, and soon… Bing search results all on the same page, flooding each search, and each page with content.  I work on webXbeta.com whenever I have a chance to.  The site is an awesome project, and most of hacker marketing method comes from this project.  It does take a lot of work, but your work does pay off.  One time, I was getting a lot of hits from Google, up to 1,000 hits in one day.  This did not take off too well.  Google has since blocked the site from being indexed, but another site then picked up the site, and it’s feed to bring me in, on average, about 200 hits a day.  If I worked at it for longer, I’m sure I could bring in regular users to do their searches through webXbeta, and have people comment on each search.  Does this sound like a good idea?  Please let me know what you think.
